Images you upload via the app are added to Wikimedia Commons, a repository of
freely-licensed media used to illustrate Wikipedia and its sister projects. By
uploading your photos, you can help further the goal of spreading free knowledge
around the world.
The Wikimedia Commons app is created and maintained by grantees and volunteers
of the Wikimedia community to allow the Wikimedia community to contribute
content to Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia Commons, along with the other Wikimedia
projects, is hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation.

How to install
- Download the APK from the button at the top of this page.
- Allow “Install unknown apps” for your browser or file manager only, not for every app.
- Open the downloaded file and confirm the installation.
- If installation fails with “App not installed,” remove an earlier build of the same app first. A signature conflict is the usual cause.

- Every file is checked against its published SHA-256 before it is listed.
- Files are scanned for malware on every update.
