ProjectM TV renders audio-reactive MilkDrop presets using the open-source ProjectM TV Engine.
Visualize another music app playing on the same TV. Audio uses Android's Visualizer API and needs Record audio permission. Optional notification access provides media-session track titles; notification contents are not read.
Start offline with 20 bundled starter presets. On first launch, choose whether to download the recommended Cream of the Crop collection from GitHub, or continue with the starters. You can download or remove the collection later in Advanced settings. The optional download contains 9,606 presets and their textures; it uses additional network data and device storage. Custom preset packs can be imported separately.
This F-Droid edition has no built-in app updater. App updates are managed by F-Droid. The optional preset collection download is separate from app updates.
Use touch gestures on phones/tablets, or a remote on TVs, to change presets and settings. No account, advertising or analytics. Android 5.0 or later and OpenGL ES 3.0 are required.
How to install
- Download the APK from the button at the top of this page.
- Allow “Install unknown apps” for your browser or file manager only, not for every app.
- Open the downloaded file and confirm the installation.
- If installation fails with “App not installed,” remove an earlier build of the same app first. A signature conflict is the usual cause.
